Yes, Inevitable.
Natanya executes on all the makings of a superstar. Obsessive Passion, a distinct personal style, earned confidence, unwavering command and a rockstar manager who will stop at nothing less than greatness.
And I haven’t even touched on how infectious the music is yet.
A new scene of british r&b and pop princesses have been on the rise for the past few years. If anything the booming UK scene makes standing out all the more cutthroat creating a fierce competition with all eyes looking in. Despite this Natanya continues to shine through. Even before she caught the attention of other superstars such as Doechii, Sza, and Tyler, the Creator, her buttery falsetto and expressive lyricism made a case for itself.
For some reason if you are unaware of Natanya’s work yet, start with Feline’s return no later than today. Album singles Dangerous and Jezebel are poignant examples of her incredible capabilities but fan favorite Sofa Joy perfectly transports listeners into the world she has built. This song soundtracks my most jubilant days. Her earlier EP Sorrow at Sunshine is also not one to be dismissed. Once you have made your way through her discography you will be primed for her next project which is set to be ours this summer. The first single, Don’t Ask, came out April 2026 marking the beginning of a new era.
Natanya is, by all relevant points, a superstar, it is just a matter of time before the world catches on and I am fighting for a seat at her arena tour.
This past week she debuted her single Don’t Ask in New York City at Damballa. Despite the venue's 200 person capacity the RSVP’s spilled in. When I last checked 10 hours before the start of the event there were 1,204 others who were also aware and passionate about Natanya’s stardom. An hour before the event began the line was wrapped around the door. Each fan flocking to experience Natanya.
For the first time to a live audience she played the unreleased single “Candy Land”. During the Q+A portion she shared that while making Feline's return brought about feelings of stress when she recounts that crafting this era was a euphoric experience. The music she shared with us was a testament to that. Following the Candy Land playback she shared a few more bits and bobs of the album, from fun facts to full tracks. A moment that felt exclusively between myself, Natanya, and the others in the room. Eventually, you guys will also experience her genre fluid greatness, but for now I keep that moment between us.
To round off the night, after performing her earlier work, and getting congratulated with a “Don’t Ask” cake, she reminds the crowd to hold onto the Candy Card memento fans received as they walked into the door. She charmingly assured “Keep them, frame them, they will be worth something some day”
I am as confident about that truth as she is.
