can’t stand what i see

I’m grateful to have spent some time with my heads in the clouds… now my eyes are to my feet and I can’t stand what I see. The whole world around me crumbles. I find myself caught in deep thought wanting to close my eyes. But before I do, I notice the uncomfortable guilt when I remember others that don’t have the same options as me. I wish someday we could all be free together. I use these songs to fuel these emotions, and allow the messages to stir within me as I gain new tools navigating a foreign world.

the listening experience of music that commands my attention is like a meditative experience that grounds me, right where i am.
