Natanya is an undeniable star who is bringing us what Destiny’s Child, Natasha Bedingfield, and so many legendary women in R&B gave us in the early 2000s. Her music bursts with confidence, attitude and FUN. Along with her distinct and gorgeous voice, she produces for herself, which allows her to build a world of sound that is extremely unique to her. With the release of Feline’s Return , she comes out with full force, demanding our attention.
Every single song on Feline’s Return is a world of its own, each with a strong melody that sticks in your head for weeks (or in my case, months) after your first listen. “Dangerous” rides the wave of the jerk music exploding out of the UK (shoutout to YT and all the other innovators in the scene) while also having its own iconic choreography. (I’m telling you, she’s on some superstar shit!!) “Jezebel” is a moment of powerful vulnerability (her harmonies at the end of the second verse are so insane it makes me want to throw something). “Sofa Joy” is bursting with vibrant color (and was recently co-signed by Tyler the Creator).
It’s only a matter of time before Natanya takes over the world, so don’t fall behind!
