Dirty Harry 2
September 10

El Cousteau's energy on Dirty Harry 2 is unmatchable. His style was always unforgettable, but this time he delivers with the cool command of a Clint Eastwood classic. It’s like the room goes dark when you first listen to “Menace to Society”, then a red spotlight reveals a white fur coat, designer sunglasses, dark pants, and Gucci shoes behind a cloud of smoke. Before you even see his face or hear his voice, you know that El Cousteau is the main character, and The Alchemist sets the scene as he delivers his first lines.

“Whop a nigga with the fist I’m like, ‘Bitch-ass nigga go get your gun.’ (you hear that??)/ I know people missing on opportunities they don’t want us to share a room”

El Cousteau’s previous Merci, Non Merci was also a 2024 TGS Favorite, but he takes it to a new level on Dirty Harry 2 , upgrading his gangster, swagger, and power over the last year. Each song creates its own texture, presenting different sides of El Cousteau while seamlessly flowing into the next track, honing the homegrown flavor of Washington, D.C. Appearances from A$AP Rocky, Earl Sweatshirt, and Niontay emphasize the power of community-driven collaborations, and create stand out moments on “Supa Cousteau”, “Pico”, and “Rose Ave.” respectively. El Cousteau doesn’t need a large-scale crew, a major deal, nor anyone’s permission to create magic on Dirty Harry 2 . All he really needs is the check. However, he does prompt one question: ‘Do I feel lucky..?’ Well, do ya, punk?
